Minutes for Execomm meeting, March 13, 1996 7:37 P.M.
Attendance: Michael, Ingrid, Cathy, Rachel, Charley, Junko,
Lan, Alexis, Oscar, Lizzie, Ari, Emily, Yale, Glenn, Gabriel
Officer reports:
SVP- Junko: Chapter skills weekend this weekend. A guy from
Amherst wants to do a project with us but they might do
it with Circle K. We're not sure what's going on yet.
Food bank project with BU is the first day of spring break.
Signup is in the office.
MVP- Cathy: The pledges met at various different times.
We discussed bigs, pledge class namesake, requirents
AVP- Ari: ASA met. They're going to work on making outside
accounts officially legal. We're keeping our room.
Treasurer-Alexis: Fincomm is meeting to discuss getting rid of things
people like (eg the terminal, cheap soda). Only officers
can charge RFPs.
Fellowship Chair- Emily: We did an all night, movie/games marathon.
SFF is in Tang. Next Friday the dinner trip will include
going to see the Tempest. We need a head count so we can get a
group rate. I'm tired.
APOCed- Michael: People should write project reports and update
quotes on board
ASC- Lan: We have more duct tape. The office needs to
be cleared from the movie marathon. The table was
cleaned Friday and will be again.
Historian- Ingrid: I got checks for film developing and mailed
it off. I didn't send in the last roll so we should have a
credit. We'll have pictures soon.
Pubdir- Oscar: I got 2 suggestions to change the IC board-
colors and pictures. If you're going to PC a project,
give me a description
Chairman of the Advisory Committee- Joe: Nothing
from the committee but the ride board needs to be resuplied
President- Charley: Sign-up for Conclave at Yale is on the
board. It's $40 without accomadations. Noone is driving yet.
I got some stuff for nationals- a list of the the Fall pledge
classes for the historian to check against our records and
stuff about APO's 75th anniversary. Talk to me if you
want to be on the committee. There's another conclave
the last weekend of spring break.
Yale: Being on the 75th committee could be hard- the
meeting are probably in Missouri.
Committees:
Servcomm- Junko: Servcomm met. We talked about on
campus service. Possibilities were ushering musical and/or
theater events, science fair, parents weekend, map for
handicapped access. We decided recycling in the
student center would be hard.
Ingrid: Save is working on it
60th- Glenn: If you get mail for 60th, put it in the 60th
mail box. If you want to help sort, speak to me.
Nomcomm- Charlie: Nomcomm exists. Members are Alexis,
Cathy, Michael, Emily, Charley, and Junko. First meeting
tomorrow.
Carnival Comm- Lan: We're meeting tomorrow to make policies.
Old business:
Oscar: Drop poster price discussion is going to Fincomm.
New business:
Ingrid: Book exchange period is over. Should we e-mail
people who have checks?
Alexis: Last year we mailed everyone their checks.
Glenn: It's not our responsibility- certainly not to pay
the extra postage.
Discussion on what to do with the money.
-APO is officially a charity
-suggestion we at least break even for lost books
Charley: Book x-change PC and treasurer, please meet and
bring us a suggestion
Michael: Is anyone watering the plants?
General consensus to have the Spitznagels do it
Charley: Are you willing to commit your descendants?
Michael: Ummm.... O.K.
Rachel: Does stuff on the discussion board stay there forever?
Charley: Please take stuff down after it comes up in chapter
Blood drive is April 1st to the fifth. We also
need to put up signs, put up a drop poster, and
label cards. We don't have to sign people up.
Glenn: Mail isn't being delivered well anymore. Possible
on campus service for us to deliver it?
-many problems with this brought up in general babble
Announcements:
Alexis: There's a roll of stamps in my drawer. Write it down
if you take them.
Emily: Sign up for SFF

Alexis: Symphony orchestra the same night as SFF

Alexis: I won a scholarship!
