Ok, the one piece of concrete information I thought I had was wrong.
We don't have to work any sign-up tables -- TCA has enough people to take
care of that.
Stuff that we are doing:
Postering the Institute and living groups before the drive. I will leave posters
(as soon as I have not-inaccurate information for them) in the office and trust
that people who live in dorms/ILGs will take them there. If you live in an
apartment off somewhere and want to poster your building, that's fine too.
This weekend, on Sunday night, I need a few brothers to deploy a drop poster in
the Student Center. Said drop poster is already made. The slot is reserved from
March 18-22, and is the one below the Coffeehouse, where I think there is some
sorority thing now. If you want to do this, or if you have previous
drop-postering in the Student Center experience, send me mail. If I don't get
any mail by Sunday I will just grab random brothers and drag them along.
Before every drive, little cards are sent out to faculty, staff, and students
who have donated notifying them of the upcoming drive. We don't have the little
cards yet from Red Cross, but they should be in this weekend. If so, it would
be nice to have any brothers who aren't learning or teaching a chapter skill at
the moment slap mailing labels on. If all the labelling doesn't happen over the
weekend, I will have to run a Mailing Label Study Break in the office on Monday,
complete with cookies and stuff.
Working the blood drive itself, April 1-5. This is a generally cool thing to do.
Check people in, keep the queues quiet, give people cookies, do whatever else the
Red Cross people tell you to. It's not that hard.
I hope to have mailing cards and posters soon. Send me mail about Sunday.
YiLFS,
Susan
