		Yale

On saturday 20 jan, we ran the first annual AX leadership practicum.
it was an utter flop. we had three attendees. we had 5 instructors. what
ended up happening was as follows:

we convened a meeting of the attendees and instructors to discuss and
plan for the 60th anniversary and conducted a mini-CPPC type discussion. Out
of this came the following:

	60th Anniversary
	================
The 60th anniversary is currently scheduled for the weekend of 3-5
May at Camp Resolute. There will be food, service, and fellowship. A schedule
of what needs to be done by when has been established and is being acted on by
the chair of the 60th committee (harry). He will be sending out mail and
contacting people about being sub-PC's. We will need EVERYONE in the chapter
to run something or else this will not come off.

	Long Term Goal
	==============
We established the following long term goal for the chapter:

To establish a strong, self-sustaining chapter.

	This involves the following things:

	- maintaining membership at levels sufficient to achieve
		the objectives of the chapter
	- maintan core membership at a minimum of 20 individuals.
	- leadership will be provided by the core and will also be
effectively delegated to other members as appropriate.
	- the core membership replaces itself over time.
	- the chapter effectively sets and achieves reasonable goals.

We also generated the following short term goals:

	- clean the office before the superbowl
	- all officers will generate notes detailing what they did during their
term of office, when they did it, when they should have done
it, and other useful information. In addition, they will be
responsible for generating a program to train their successor.
	- project reports will be written for at least 50% of the projects
		this term
	- Establish protocols for archiving chapter records (e.g. APOc,
officer reports, minutes, photos, "How To", mentor list,
Historian's Roll, etc.) by 15 March.
	- Redefine the role of NomComm by the end of March.
	- Reassess the chapter skills program by the first chapter meeting.
		(6 feb 1996)
	- Distribute responsibility for finding service projects to the chapter
from the SVP. (Min 6 projects this term found by non-SVP)
	- Maintain membership according to the following goals:
100% of the "core" members remain active
___% of the new brothers (recently elevated) remain active
Have fellowship chair fill in blank and implement plan to
		achieve these goals.
	- Run at least 1 CPPC (Chapter Program Planning Conference) this term.
(currently scheduled for 9 March 1996)
	- Have active, enthusiastic Big Brothers by pledge ceremonies and
reevaluate the program for acquiring/assigning(?) BB's and
		LB's

Comments on these goals are welcome. Please send mail to apo-news
regarding these issues.

	YiLFS,

	Charley
