Charlie,

Two cents from the ancient mold division...

Call National and see what they have to say about this sort 
of thing.  The answers may determine what you should do 
about chapter meetings as well as what you are getting 
into.  I'd be particularly interested in what they have to 
say about relationships among National APO organizations 
and what they think (if anything) about what sponsorship 
across national boundaries might mean.

If, for example, they are flatly opposed to such 
sponsorship, at least without their in-depth involvement, 
Alpha Chi might try to work out some sort of chapter big 
brother to another arrangements that would avoid those 
issues and permit you to make up the arrangements as you go 
along.
