The Boston Food Bank project is coming up Saturday, November 18. We will be
meeting in the APO office at 8 am.
Please email me to tell me whether or not you're coming, or sign up in the
office.
(If it would be more convenient for you to meet us at the Kendall T stop or at
the site, write me and we'll arrange a time and place.)
The Greater Boston Food Bank is a warehouse in Boston which takes donations
of food from local stores and supermarkets. (The food is usually past its
expiration date or its container is damaged somehow.) They get volunteers to
sort through the food and separate what's bad from what's salvageable (that's
what we'll be doing Saturday) and sells the salvaged food at very low prices
to shelters, halfway houses, etc.
