This is a unique opportunity. The third annual Alex's Swedish
Christmas Eve dinner, on the evening of thursday Dec. 24th, will be
graced by the presence of a native Swede - my dad. Come watch us sing
Swedish drinking songs while eating all the usual good food.

The menu, with internet-standard scandinavian character equivalents:

Ost & sill: numerous cheeses, crackers, and various variants of herring,
with various sauces.

Smaavarmt: small spicy meatballs and the best new potatos I can find.

Skinka & Mayonnaes: ham and home-mademayonnaise. Maybe replaced with
roast-beef with my traditional cream sauce.

Jansson's Frestelse: thinly sliced very light potato and cream dish,
spiced with onion and optional anchovies. If I were Jansson I would
have succumbed to this temptation.

Kinuski: Cream-based taffy. Derived from the russian verb tyagnuty, to pull.

It is not too early to make plans to come. RSVP by email or phone,
628-3988.

	Greetings,
	- Alex
