Officers' reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Cathy): We had a project at Cambridgeport Children's Center.
Not many people went, but it seems like it went okay. This
weekend there is a project a the National Braille Press. Meet in
the office at 9 am. It is a 20 minute walk over the bridge near
Symphony Hall on St. Stephen's Street. The PC is Karen. A
sign up sheet is going around. Steak Fry is also on Saturday,
sign up. Next weekend there is a HAlloween project at George's
Island which Ingrid is PCing. Chapter Weekend II will be at
Camp Resolute instead of Massa*. Friday November 10, which
is a Friday, from 2 to 4 pm is a project at Shriner's Children's
Hospital to play with kids who really need to be played with.
We don't have classes that day. Conclave is also that weekend.
MVP (Kevin): Over the next couple of weeks, I will be meeting with
each of the pledges individually, in particular to see what they've
done so far and to help get some of them big brothers.
AVP (Karen): Still planning to get WUAPO out to everyone interde-
partmental. If you recently gave me a new telephone number or
address, it might be wise to give to me again, because I probably
lost your note.
Treasurer (Alexis): Sometime this week I will finally not be hosed.
And you better pay your debts before then. I'll be coming with
a shotgun.
FC (Jeffrey): Steak Fry is this weekend.
APOcEd (Chris): The APOc will be out tomorrow. I'm dead tired
and will be leaving right after I finish my report.
ASC (Ari): I finally got rid of the radioactive ice cream in the office
freezer. It burned a hole in the sink of the pottery shop, but no
one knows it was APO, so hopefully it won't get back to us. I
will probably be going office shopping tomorrow or Thursday.
PubDir (Susan): nothing to report
Historian (Bob): nothing to report
Advisory Comm. Chair (Joe): nothing to report
President (Harry): Conclave is coming up, but I haven't received
any materials for it yet. If you're interested in going, talk to
me. Also there is a regional meeting in Hartford Dec 29-31st if
you are in town. Talk to me about that, too.
Committee reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UMOC
Ingrid: UMOC starts Monday. PLEASE sign up and help out. It
would be optimal if we could have 2 people for each shift. If you
sign up, please SHOW up for your shift. We definitely have 1
candidate and hopefully 2 so far.
Old Business:

Service discussion revisited
Charley: The plan is to run a leadership practicum. I'm interested if
anyone has ideas for what to run. I'm rather hosed rw and
haven't contacted the people who have expressed interest in
helping out.
Richard: It's unclear what you are looking for.
Charley: Right now I have virtually nothing. I thought we could
present something like a chapter weekend-type plan and give a
person an assignment and have him/her brainstorm. We'd give
a rough overview of what to do, about contacting the person
who needs to be contacted. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Yale: Have you looked at project leadership workshop material from
3 or 4 years ago?
Charley: I think Glenn mentioned it.
Yale: The people who did it are readily accessable to talk about it.
Ingrid: Sounds like all the important points have been covered. Reme-
ber to go over things not only before, but also during a project.
Charley: One more thing, there's a mailing list you can add yourself
to called apo-leadership to discuss these issues more.
New Business:

Announcements:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ari: Bring stuff to auction off at Steak Fry or Kevin won't have any
fun.
Jill: We will be having the following at Steak Fry (so far): Steak, some
lasagna, carrots, salad, Glenn's apple pie, and my Pecan pie.
Can anyone make another desert dish, brownies or cheesecake?
If you have any dietary problems, see me. Come! And bring
money for food and the auction.
Ingrid: UMOC. Please sign up to help. I'm hosed right now.
Karen: Please sign up for this Saturday's project at the National
Braille Press. It should be a lot of fun.
PFTGOTO:
~~~~~~~
Alexis: Can I call a motion to make Charley shave his face? Just
kidding, Charley.
Junko: There's a cheesecake social tomorrow night at 9 pm at WILG.
Everyone is invited.
Ingrid: There's an ET Halloween party a week from this Saturday.
Everyone is invited. And almost 8.
Cathy: Reminder also that there is a Halloween project next weekend
at George's Island. Sign up.
Jill: I am also food PC for Chapter Weekend II, so talk to me about
dietary restrictions for that, too.
Bob: Better yet, make a list of people with dietary restrictions.
Gilbert: There is an Impressionist paintings exhibition at the MFA
that I would really enjoy going to. If we could organize a trip
to go to that sometime, that would be cool.
Jill: I'm singing in a concert tomorrow night in Killian Hall at 7 pm.
Meeting adjourned to a fellowship circle and toast song at 8 pm.
