Hi all,
Here are more details.
Talbot House IS LIKE A DORM. They have nice bathrooms, showers,
and they provide for beddings for all of us. So, you DON'T even need any
sleeping bags. Just go and do some service and enjoy this nice MIT
vacation house.
List of projects:
- painting the kitchen
- adding a gutter in the basement
- adding water pipes hangers
List of on-site entertainment (some cost money):
- fireplace (for marshmallow roasts, etc.)
- swimming/boating/canoeing/fishing in silver lake state park
- bicycling/hiking in nearby places (they have bike rentals)
- golf
- hay rides
- visit tourists attractions:
o Queechee Gorge
o Billings Farm & Museum
o Vermont Raptor Center
o Saint Gaudens National Historic Site
o Calvin Coolidge Birthplace
You have to tell me (via email or signup sheet in office) when between
Friday morning and Sunday you want to go -- we shall come back before 6pm
Sunday but you can arrange with me to come back any time earlier.
