Well, my stuff's almost completely unpacked, so I guess it's time to
announce my:
HOUSEWARMING!!!
...in celebration of my new apartment!
175/185 Freeman St., Apt. 536
Brookline, MA 02146
(617) 732-0076
The festivities will be on Sunday, September 10, 1995 from 11 AM until 10
PM. (Yes, I know this is 11 hours...)
Light food and beverages will be provided. I maintain a kosher, dairy
kitchen, so if you wish to bring food (and it would be welcome), it really
has to be kosher, and it can't be meat (e.g., chicken, beef, lamb, etc. -
kosher fish is OK.) Acceptable stuff includes fresh fruits and vegetables
(not already cut up in a non-kosher environment), food from a kosher
bakery/store (which is NOT open Friday Nights or Saturdays!), or food
labelled as kosher with one of the following: a "U" with a circle around it,
a "K" with a circle or star around it, a backwards "C" with a "K" inside it,
a "V" on top of and interlinked with an "H", or a "K" on top of/interlinked
"V" on top of/interlinked "H". (Note: "K" by itself or a "K" with a
triangle around it or a "K" with a semicircle attached to the left side of
the "K" are not sufficient.)
If the last paragraph hasn't scared you off, I do hope you'll come if you're
able. Please call me so that I can plan food/beverage quantities!
Oh yeah: directions!
T:
Take the Green Line, "B" or "C" train, to the St. Paul Street stop. (This
is a different stop on the "B" line, than it is on the "C".) On the "B"
line, it is the fifth stop outside the tunnel, the one immediately after
"Boston University WEST". Get off the train, turn right, go back to the
light, and cross the tracks and 1/2 of Commonwealth Ave. Go down St. Paul
Street until you get to the first light (Freeman St.) Turn right, and the
building will be immediately on the right. On the "C" line, you want the
fourth stop out of the tunnel (at the far end of the Holiday Inn). Cross
Beacon Street towards the Holiday Inn, and cross St. Paul St. Go up St.
Paul St, until you get to the fist light (Freeman St.), and cross Freeman St
and turn left. The building is on the right.
Car from Cambridge, Boston, the North:
Use Memorial Drive West. Take the ramp for the BU Bridge (just after the
Hyatt). Go over the bridge, and take a right just over at Commonwealth Ave.
Get into the left lane, and take the first legal left onto St. Paul St. Go
to the first light (Freeman St.) and turn right. The building is on the
right.
Car from the South:
93 North to Exit 20, bear right onto Mass Pike. Mass Pike to exit 20, bear
right after the tolls towards Cambridge. Follow from the West directions.
Car from the West:
Mass Pike to Exit 18. After the tolls, bear right towards Cambrige. Follow
signs onto Storrow Drive (The eventual turn is right). Right turn onto
Storrow Drive East, follow until the BU exit. Once you get to Commonweath
Ave. you will have to turn right. Get into the left lane as soon as you can
on Commonwealth ave. Take the next legal left. (St. Paul St.) Take St.
Paul St. to the first light (Freeman St.) and turn right. The building is
on the right.
Other places:
Call me. We'll work it out...
See you on the 10th!
