Yay, another short incredibly easy and fun project!!!
Who: 10-12 APO brothers (that be us)
What: Ushering for the Freshman Breakfast/Reception
For whom: Almost every freshmen and their parents
Where: Walker Memorial and the President's House
When: 9am-noon on Saturday, September 2, 1995
Arriving: At the President's House around 8:30am
Dress: Semi-Formal (NOT Semi-Formal Formal)
Why: Eat free good catered food, meet cool freshmen (and
tell them what the APO on your service pin means :-),
and shake Chucky's hand (wow!).
This is easy: You dress up, show up, stand around pointing,
chat with freshmen and their parents, and say "Good morning!"
with a smile an awful lot of times. Oh, and you get to eat
some really yummy food. It'll probably run a little late
like last year, but not much later since the President will
have to run off and give a speech to the freshmen. Details
follow below.
First 11 people (haha, I get first dibs) to RSVP to me win!
+ Richard
PS: Hey, I still need 2 more people to help administer the
Freshmen Essay Evaluation on Friday, 25 August, 8:30am-noon
(free muffins, juice, and coffee!). Send me email!

Subject: Re: APO Volunteers for the Freshman Breakfast/Reception
Thanks for your e-mail message. We are glad that APO is willing
to assist us again with the Freshman Breakfast. It would be helpful to
have 10 to 12 people. Please ask the volunteers to arrive at the
President's House around 8:30 a.m. At that time locations can be
assigned and name tags can be picked up. The invitation states a start
time of 9 a.m., and we hope to conclude around noontime. It's possble,
of course, that it could run over somewhat. The format is being changed
this year in that the students and parents are being asked to go to
Walker Memorial first where they will be given a suggested time to join
the receiving line at the President's House. Hopefully, we can avoid
long lines and the long wait by doing it this way.
I would appreciate the names of the volunteers as soon as
possible so that the name tags can be prepared ahead.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any
questions, please feel free to email me or call me at 3-2829.
