Here sounds like a fun service opportunity... but not a one-shot deal.

Are you interested in a community-service volunteer opportunity?
Do you have an afternoon a week you could donate to kids eager to learn?
Do you have an interest in computers?
If so, you'll be interested in:
The Computer Clubhouse Mentoring Program
The Computer Clubhouse at The Computer Museum is looking for mentors to
volunteer a couple of hours each week this summer. At the Clubhouse young
people (ages 10-16) from underserved communities in Boston use
state-of-the-art computers equipment and software to create images, music,
animation, 3D models, robots, and even their own web pages. [Check out the
site at http://www.net.org/clubhouse/.] The kids in the Clubhouse are
looking for adults who have an interest in computers to work with them on
their projects.
MENTORS (You)
Mentors are students and professionals in art, music, engineering,
education, and a variety of other fields. Mentors are available to answer
questions and support exploration by particpants.
MEMBERS (The kids)
Members range in age from 10 to 16 and represent the diverse communities of
Boston. Members spend days, weeks, even months working on projects they
find personally meaningful. Through their participation they develop
important skills for college and careers.
HOURS
The Clubhouse is open Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm
and Saturday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
