Brothers, Pledges, Alums, Friends of the Chapter, and anybody else,

The proposed legislation for this winter's National Convention
arrrived last week. It has been placed in a manila folder which is
tacked to the red bulletin board in the office. You are encouraged to
go to the office, read the legislation, and send comments to your voting
delegates at National; Jen'n and I, with Crystal as the alternate. Your
comments will make it easier for us to represent you at nationals, and
to decide which proposals we need to get a vote or straw poll on from
the chapter.

Please leave that copy of the legislation in the office. Other
brothers will want to use it also. Jen'n and I each have complete
copies, so find one of us if you want to make another copy. Also, since
there are as many proposals as there are, it will make our life easier
if you put your comments in writing (or email), and refer to each
proposal by the Document, Article, Section, and Paragraph that it is
trying to change. If your comment applies to a bunch of proposals, just
make clear which bunch, such as "Yale's motions regarding ties to
scouting", or "the proposals to use gender neutral language."

The chapter only has one current copy of the national bylaws
that I know of. If you don't know where it is, Jen'n or I can probably
give you a rough idea of what the effect of each proposal would be.
Other people may also have this information, don't hesitate to ask.

I know there is a whole bunch of time before nationals, but I,
at least, would prefer not to be bringing motions regarding chapter
positions up at elections meeting or I-Banquet, since those meetings
will be long enough anyway.

			YiLFS,
			  Glenn
