Hello, fellow office dwellers.
This is the Office Beaver. Unlike the Office Mouse, who quietly
leaves just advice for brothers and pledges, the Office Beaver does
work. Lots of it.
The office has been rearranged, and more moving will be happening
later this week. In particular, the flamables cabinet and the dexion
junk will be moved. Response has been mostly positive so far, but let
me know if you have problems with it. Thanks go to Jeremy and all
others who helped move stuff.
The Office Beaver does not like the office packrats, and the following
items will be incinerated and/or removed from the office by Afterfinals:
1) A copy of "Word Perfect 5.0 Macros" overdue from the
Somerville Public Library since Sept. 16, 1992.
2) All remaining Book Exchange books and related documents.
3) One very dirty formerly green towel.
4) Excess dexion.
5) Random computer stuff under the terminal table, including
keyboards.
Anything else I can find which does not seem worth saving for the next
Stir Fry (we beavers are vegetarians too!) will also be listed for
demolition. If you object to any of this getting tossed, find a good
home for it outside the office or prove to the Big Beav that it really
needs to stay in the office (good luck!).
A few other notes on cleaning and rearranging:
1) Put CDs back in the CD racks so they don't get lost/broken.
2) The SVP phone will be getting a longer phone cord so that
it can go through the ceiling instead of the floor.
3) Officers may find some new stuff on their desks; this
probably belongs to them even if they don't know what
it is (especially applies to the Historian).
4) Officers should clean their desks before the new officers
take over.
5) The Safety Chair will be ensuring that fire regulations are
upheld.
6) Dam construction will not begin until June.
