Hi, Karen!

There are more opportunities to do service with regards to Saturday's
Serve-a-thon. Cleaning up after registration, counting money, etc. And IF
PEOPLE WANT TO DO REAL SERVICE and have experience doing interior painting,
they are especially encouraged to attend AX alumna Nancy Goldberg's
serve-a-thon project, Riverside: Newton Guidance. She needs experienced folks
she can trust to help at her multi-level project. There will be van
tranportation from Boston Common, so participants need to check-in with her
before departures begin Saturday morning.

Closer to MIT, there's a serve-a-thon project at National Braille Press (88 St.
Stephen Street; off of Mass. Ave. near Symphony Hall). I am not the PC but
will be there with 70 other volunteers, mostly doing interior cleaning and
painting. 266-6160. People can arrive after they're done with registration.
Kate Curtis, Tracy Vogler, Ping Huang, Darlene Ford, and many other brothers
have volunteered at National Braille Press and can fill you in.

I was on last year's serve-a-thon steering committee and am on this year's
executive steering committee.

Yilfs,

Lori Tsuruda
