Hello everyone!
On this coming Saturday, October 24, APO is helping out with the City
Year Serve-a-thon registration. The Serve-a-thon expects 7,000 volunteers
Saturday to do service projects that day. All we have to do is be at Boston
Commons at about 7am (Iknow, I know, WAY too early for any of us, but our job
will be finished by 9:30 or so, so it won't infringe on your day at all.)
Also, if you plan to help register on Saturday, you will need to be at
the APO meeting on Wednesday evening. A representative of the Serve-a-thon
feels it is necessary to go over registration procedures before Saturday. You
can't help register unless you've attended this. The rep will talk for about 20
minutes after the APO meeting at around 8:00pm. That shouldn't take very long
either.
If you are interested, please sign up on the project sheet in the
office. If you have any problems, conflicts; you can't make it on Wednesday, or
something, give me a call at x5-8458 (ask for Karen G - there are two Karens in
my room.) Thank you.
