I think becuase:
- picayune is hosed (www isn't a cname for charon anymore)
- the server (in perl) is slow.
What to do about these?
Both bert and I occasionally play with the server on other machines -
bert, do you think it's perl/plexus slowness or machine slowness?
Also, I'm planning on getting the C server sometime in the sort-of
near future and trying to out; it'll be faster but less configurable
(that is, unless it's slower and less configurable).
I've also considered making a smaller `getting started' page somewhere
else, but I haven't thought about it too much.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
