Did you mean "&em;" or <em> rather than "en"? I like your suggestion
it is simple and easy to implement.

Perhaps you could help me with a naming problem. In the HTML+ DTD I use
a single tag for all inline emphasis, using a string attribute value
to specify different categories of emphasis. My original name was EMPH
but feel this is perhaps too long. I then thought of contracting this
to EM, but see now that this might be confused with an em space.

Any ideas for what I should call this tag?
