As you know, the most simple way to protect a web-site is using
the "applikations", which "mostly" are already included in
server-packs..

I know that Enterprise-server has included that option as many other
servers.
All you have to do is (when you use some of servers above) create
a user and password, than bind them to the specific catalogue or
HTML-file.  

What does this have to do with www-security ?
