ABOUT THE GUESTS
Gary McGraw and Ed Felten are a couple of benevolent hackers who have spent
a great deal of time trying to defeat web security systems. Their work has
led to some of the most important discoveries in the field, culminating in
the publication this year of the book "Java Security: Hostile Applets,
Holes, and Antidotes" (John Wiley & Sons).
During their chats, the authors will discuss several dangerous web security
flaws and tell you about simple things you can do to protect yourself. If
you cannot attend the chats and would like to see the transcripts, please
send mailto:IPS@olympus.net with the subject line, "Send Security Chat." We
will e-mail you a copy of the transcripts as soon as they are available.
