I have expanded the spec on the common key ring format. Rather than post it
again here is the URL:-

The idea is to provide a mailcap type functionality for certificates. The RIPEM
and PGP formats are not extensible enough for the needs of the Web. Associating
icons with certificates is really essential to make the browsers easy to use. It
would be best if the certificates incorporated the icons but X.509 is arround
for a while :-(
