Greetings,
i've been asked to install a local search engine on our web servers. I
found that Excite for Web Servers meets our needs, but i am worried about
the security concerns of installing all that Perl stuff in our cgi-bin.
I'm running Apache on Solaris-sparc with some virtual hosts, and i want
to install only a copy of the program and use it for all the vhosts
(sharing the ScriptAliased dir).
I'm bad as a code hacker, so i'd like to know if someone has already
installed it or, better, looked through the code.
TIA and sorry for my bad english :)
P.S. i already know about the WWW-security and CGI-security FAQ...
