Well well, I'll refrain from offerring any opinion on the above
message but I would like to point out to the good folks on this
list that there is a completely free implementation, including
full source code, of most of these services available from Eric
Young.

The FAQ is at;
https://www.psy.uq.oz.au/~ftp/Crypto/
and the source distribution is available at;
ftp://ftp.psy.uq.oz.au/pub/Crypto/SSL/
with a mailing-list at;
mailto:ssl-users-request@mincom.com
with subscribe in the body of the msg.

From the FAQ: Is there a Windows version of SSLeay and the
applications to go with it?

The answer is yes. SSLeay-0.6.1 and above support WIN16 and WIN32.
The base release has command line makefile support for building
with Microsoft Visual C. Note: I've also build WIN16 setups for
Borland C++ 4.x but the build procedure is not yet integrated into
the standard distribution (--tjh). SSLeay-0.6.4 includes multi-
threaded support for WIN32. We have tested Windows 3.11, Windows
95 and Windows NT.
