hi all
I know this may not be the best place to ask..but i have been to the =
cisco web site and found it all a little too much for my poor modem =
connection :-(
Most decent routers will allow you to filter on both IP addresses =
(source and =20
destination) as well as source and destination ports. The combination =
can =20
give you control over which services can be used from the outside world =
to =20
different machines.
what i want is a packet filtering router that also checks the ack bit =
and doesnt do any automatic reordering of filter rules...any sugestions =
?
oh, whilst I'm here ;-) dont suppose there is such a packet filtering =
product which would run on windowsNT server .....well I _was_ only =
asking ;-)
cheers
mike
