There is a FAQ on this subject. See:

  ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/news.answers/internet-services/access-via-email

If any www-security readers have no FTP access, it is also available
via e-mail. To retrieve it, send an e-mail message to
"mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu" with the following line in the BODY of the
message:

  send usenet/news.answers/internet-services/access-via-email

Besides the FAQ, there is even a book:

"The E-Mail Companion : Communicating Effectively Via the Internet
and Other Global Networks" by John S. Quarterman & Smoot
  Carl-Mitchell (Addison-Wesley 1994, ISBN: 0201406586, paper $19.95)
