Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their responses to my
questions related to Macintosh security, particularly Chris Garrigues,
David Ray, and Matthew McGlynn. The consensus seems to be that the
Macintosh in general and WebStar in particular are relatively secure
unless/until potential holes are opened by using CGIs or providing other
Internet services (particularly Telnet and FTP). I am still exploring the
issues, taking your comments into consideration, and appreciate your
assistance.
