Hi there

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to update the files
on a web-server through a firewall without having to
sit at the servers console or using a write protected HD
updated on the inside of the firewall ?

I am thinking of a solution where files being updated very often
on the "inside" are shipped every 5 minutes or so out to the
server automatically. But what protocol would be the most
appropriate to do the transport ? FTP ? UUCP ? Something else ?

Security of the web-server is important, therefore some kind of
authorization mechanism is needed. Probably that would be
Kerberos or a smart-card solution, any thoughts on this ?

One final question: are there currently any servers supporting
 the PUT method ?

Thanks very much for your time / Frode
