I still am not that enamored with digital cash from an accountability and
tax perspective.
With digital cash, I have the same problem as with regular cash - it's not
only keeping a shoebox but actually having to go through it, or do
"double-entry" to begin to organize it.
In the current models, credit cards, and even checks provide a first line
of defense on these initial financial organizational problems. I don't think
I'm the only one that tends to do this.
Therefore, I believe a secure communication channel for transaction
purposes is still very desirable to insure privacy.
