Whilst testing (ok playing) with Netscape2.0 Beta 2 I wondered upon the
security section of the options menu. This being all new in Beta 2 I
investigated the what seems to be occuring is that Netscape have teamed
up with Verisign (http:///www.verisign.com/) to add on digital
certicates and signing to e-mail, Web transactions etc.
Now then, Verisign will be giving various forms of certificates on
application to them starting from end of November for a Class 1 (free)
level, with up to Class 4 rolling out from December. Now as Verisign
holds all these signatures this is very interesting -
Any comments/ more info people.
