Indeed:
KGT, p. 176, 5.3.3 "Intentional Ungrammaticality":
"Sometimes words or phrases are coined for a specific occasion, 
intentionally violating grammatical rules in order to have an impact."

Probably {pItlhbe'} was not intentional, but as you said, everyone knew 
what it could mean.
