If I had to come up with a simple way to describe the essence of the
words, I'd say {qung} is more like a perforation and {QemjIq} is more
like an indentation. A {qung} is a hole "through" something, and a
{QemjIq} is what you get when you dig out something.

A container like a bowl or bottle is a separate case, having an inside
and an outside. Though one can fill it, I don't think {QemjIq}
applies. The neck of a bottle is not the bottle itself, and I strongly
believe that if you can {qorgh} it, it is a {qung}.
