Also called a {DenIb Qatlh}.  It's an animal.

Listed in the "Curses" section of the KCD Language Lab. 

on Deep Space Station K-7 in 2268, Lt. Korax called Kirk this.  He also compared humans to Regulan bloodworms as they are both "soft and spineless". (TOS "The Trouble with Tribbles")
