Some of you might be keeping tabs on the date. I know I am.=0A=0AJune 1, 20=
14 is the thirtieth anniversary of the theatrical release of Star Trek III:=
The Search for Spock. To us, the date is significant because it is the fir=
st time Okrandian Klingon was used.=0A=0ATKD did not come out in the paq Su=
D tIQform until 1985, and the paq chIS did not emerge in print with the add=
endum until 1992 - we had our chance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of t=
hat book some time ago. However, the first strains of recognisable Okrandia=
n=A0tlhIngan Hol first emerged in this movie, on June 1, 1984.=0A=0AOne wee=
k from tomorrow, as a matter of fact.=0A=0AThirty years from the first time=
we heard Valkris declaim qa'van De' vIje' rIntaH,and Christopher Lloyd cal=
l his unfortunate, vapourised, ex-gunner a Ha'DIbaH. Thirty years to the da=
y of Maltz' capture, of course.=0A=0A=0AAnd it is thirty years, indeed, to =
the day we first heard Qapla'.=0A=0A=0AI've got plans to write up a blog po=
st to commemorate this event. Does anybody else have anything planned for t=
hat day?=0A
