I'd welcome the chance to pass a beginner-level test. The 500-word
vocabulary is a high hurdle for my old brain.
There isn't actually a need for a separate test, either. The lazy solution
is to use the Level 1 test. If the score isn't high enough for "Level 1"
proficiency, then there's a lower bar for "Beginner" proficiency, instead
of just "close, but no cigar."
