ALL of these verbs which are coumpound of several suffixes must be 
treated as "verb+suffix" and follow the rules, even when the english 
translation conveys an individual idea.

For instance:
{poS} - "be open"

{poSmoH} - "open (something)"

{poSnISmoH} - "need to open"

It takes a while to get used to, but you certainly will one day and then 
it even hurts to say *poSmoH-nIS*.
