Hmm... this is a tough one. The only thing that comes to mind is the adverbial {bong} "accidentally, by accident":

  bong yaS vIHoHpu'
I accidentally killed the officer. TKD

tera' vatlh DIS poH cha'maH loS bong QongmeH qItI'nga' Duj tI'ang
   ghompu' DIvI' 'ejDo' 'entepray'
A sleeper ship of this [K'Tinga] class, the T'Ong, was encountered
in the 24th century by the USS Enterprise. S15

The S15 example - {bong ghompu'} "met by accident" - may suggest something like *{bong Qe'vam wISuchpu' jIH Okrand je}. Another option might be {wanI'/ghu' motlhbe'/Huj/jum/taq 'oH} "it's an unusual/strange/odd/weird event/situation". But the idea of "by chance" doesn't eally come through in either.

Perhaps Klingons don't really believe in chance. They do however believe in {San} (fate) and {SuD} (gamble, take a chance, take a risk).

[Are there any more examples of {bong} or chance or coincidence in the paq'batlh?]
