I believe the source of my confusion was relative clauses, which can =
occur in sentences like {mulegh QIppu'bogh yaS}, where the main clause =
{mulegh yaS} is interrupted by the relative clause.
=20
Wow, that=E2=80=99s a weird (to me) way to look at it. To me the subject =
of that sentence IS QIppu=E2=80=99bogh yaS, so I feel no interruption. =
In the English =E2=80=9CThe officer who has been stupid sees =
me,=E2=80=9D does the main clause feel interrupted to you? If not, =
what=E2=80=99s the difference? How about =E2=80=9CI see the smiling =
man=E2=80=9D?
