So... form over function. Nice to pin this down, since {qoSta'} may - except for the {'} - have been a type of {ta} "file, record". This is consistent with {De' jengva'} "CD, compact disc" (TalkNow!).
Can I suggest:
*De' meyrI' "data solid, microtape" (i.e. those plastic squares from TOS)
*De' naQ(Hom) "isolinear rod" (from DS9)
