AFAIK never used in canon.

Can {chip} be used for cutting or trimming other things - e.g. prune a plant - or do we use {poD] and {poDmoH} for that?  E.g.

KGT 172f.:  One form of nonstandard speech that is heard rather frequently is what is called {tlhIngan Hol poD} ("Clipped Klingon") or simply {Hol poD} ("clipped language").
