A beach made of sand that explodes when water hits it is at least as bad as=
 a cannon lubricant that explodes if sand hits it. I think we have an autho=
r who is trying to be a Klingon McIver, in the manner of Galaxy Quest with =
the line, "Try to fashion a rudimentary lathe..."
