Another option:
leghlaHbe'meH, qama' nachDaq buq lan vajar.
So that he could not see, Vajar put a bag on (over?) the prisoner's head.
or with the new verb:
nach velmeH buq lo' vajar.
Vajar used a bag to cover the prisoner's head.
