wa' DoS wIqIp.  My point exactly.  

Simply use his name for the book's title - e.g. {ghawtam ghobmey paq} "Gautama's Book of Virtues/Ethics" - and leave the detailed etymological discussion of *buddha*, *dhammapada*, etc. for the introduction or first footnote.
