lugh Qov QeS je. {ngemDaq yInej} "search (in) the forest!" (e.g. someone i=
s hiding in the forest) vs. {ngem yInej} "search for the forest" (e.g. Wher=
e the hell is it?! It's supposed to be around here somewhere! Does anybody=
 have a map?)

Although it's never been used with a place stamp, in canon {nej} "look for,=
seek, search for" always has an object, either explicit or implied:

  qanej =

  I look for you. KLS

  vInejqa' =

I am resuming the search. =

I am searching for him/her again. TKD

  jagh luHoHmeH jagh lunejtaH =

They are searching for the enemy in order to kill him. =

In order to kill the enemy, they are searching for the enemy. TKD

'avwI' nejDI' narghta'bogh qama' reH 'avwI' Sambej =

When an escaped prisoner looks for a guard, he always finds one. TKW

As for "search/frisk (a person)" {jIHDaq nuHmey nej Hung} or {porghwIjDaq n=
ejqu' yaS} certainly fit in with what I said above, but they're a bit wordy=
. How about {nuD} "examine" (which has the virtue of never being used in c=
anon): {munuD Hung yaS}?

(BTW, is there a word for "airport" in the TalkNow! program?)
