I've wondered that too. Perhaps Okrand meant that it isn't related exclusi=
vely to *space* travel. Perhaps {yo'} is an old word from the Klingons' ow=
n naval tradition. =
It also shows up in {yo' qIj} "the Black Fleet" (one form of the afterlife):
batlh maHeghbej 'ej yo' qIjDaq vavpu'ma' DImuv. pa' reH maSuvtaHqu' =

We've actually seen a Klingon {bIQ Duj} in VOY "Barge of the Dead": Kortar=
was captain of the mythical Barge of the Dead; he destroyed the gods who c=
reated him and, as punishment, was condemned to ferry the dishonored dead t=
o Grethor.
