Personally I often use the "X 'e' bej" construction for the slang sense
of the verb, so I like that the sense here could be either "watch" or
"ensure", especially given that they have already apparently lost one
crew member in the area. I'm not sure that's what you intended and I
don't know if anyone else would read it that way, but I like that that's
what I got from it.
