\I would presume rather the >Starfleet< hierarchy: ensign, lieutenant,
\lieutenant commander, commander, captain, commodore, admiral. Starfleet
\doesn't make distinctions as fine as USN or RN.
Well, we've also seen Lieutenant (Junior Grade) [Ilia], and Kirk
was identified as a Rear Admiral. So it seems logical to extrapolate the rest
of the USN hierarchy in Starfleet. What this says about the Klingon navy, of
course, is debatable.
