The specific protocol regarding the placement of adverbials is given in TKD, p. 179, under 6.7. Placement of Adverbial Elements.

To summarise, adverbials (other than neH or jay') precede the O-V-S construct; elements of other types may precede the adverbial; and time markers are the commonest such element - a "noun or phrase" indicating the time.

Example given:-
DaHjaj nom Soppu' -Today, they ate quickly.

p. 180 continues by pointing out that a noun modified by -'e' may be followed by an adverbial.

Example given:-
HaqwI''e' DaH yISam -Find the SURGEON now!
