My own sense of things should carry no weight with others, but I
actually get the feeling that they are more *adverbial* than anything
else. They're apparently modifying the Q verb, which is acting like
an adjective to describe the A and B nouns. This personal intuition
is purely tangential, speculative, and unimportant. The only
important thing to note is that we've been given a formula, some
specific variations, and limited license to improvise in one minor
fashion. We have not been given any hint that we can add type 9 verb
suffixes to the formula.
