veqlargh is the Klingon devil, if I remember correctly. The TNG
episode involved a planet who owed it's 1,000 years of prosperity to a
pact with the Devil. The contract period was up, and she appeared to
collect her payment, the planet. Since the Enterprise was in orbit,
she owned it, as wel as Picard, who she took a liking to.
Ah! It was "Devil's Due", and her name was Ardra. She 'became'
veqlargh to demonstrate her powers.
Here's a quote from the Companion: "Though some may regard it as the
Klingon devil, Fek'lhr as seen here is carefully described as the
guardian of Gre'thor, the hereafter where the Klingon dishonored to
after they die. This is consistent with the fact that Klingons have
no devil--a detail that was revealed in the 1969's 'Day of the Dove'."
