> ... questions about clauses ... discussed here before ... I have the
article online if anyone can't get at HolQeD. Again, this is the old `yaS'e'
qIppu'bogh HoD` issue.
(a) I emailed HolQeD's editorial email address but he hasn't replied yet.
(b) Please email the article to me.
(c) I feel that distinguishing which noun in `qama' leghpu'bogh yaS` is the
antecedent can not be done by `'e'`, as I can easily construct all four
combinations of either noun being antecedent or emphasized:-
`qama' leghpu'bogh yaS the officer who saw the prisoner OR
the prisoner who the officer saw
`qama''e' leghpu'bogh yaS the <officer> who saw the prisoner
(= not someone else who saw the prisoner) OR
the prisoner who the <officer> saw
(= not another prisoner who someone else saw)
`qama' leghpu'bogh yaS'e' the officer who saw the <prisoner>
(= not another officer who saw someone else) OR
the <prisoner> who the officer saw
(= not someone else who the officer saw)
> the tape does seem to think that it's Qo'noS ...
Has anyone made a list yet of all of any vocabulary and grammatical points
that are on the tape but not in the book?
