Some time later, back at the base, the colonel's aide was leading
a roundup team outfitted with infrared goggles at the transmitter
station. But what was this? Some of the genuine worker robots
were assisting the infiltrators, in defiance of their
programming! They proved also to be Romulans, but with infrared
screening in their disguises.

The security officer was worried. "Sir," he told the colonel,
"they appear to have a second team attacking the officers' club,
and they're ALL infrared-shielded: we can't tell Romulans from
robots!" "Not to worry," replied the colonel. "The rating who
looks after my battle scars and snaggle teeth is on watch there,
and he has such a sharp eye for complexion that he can tell them
apart in an instant at thirty meters with the naked eye. He'll
trigger the automatic paralysis guns as soon as all the false
robots are within range. ... In fact, they're starting to fall
over now. ... bejbej moHmoHwI'wI'. chu'chu'!"
